‘Small Dioramas’ by Anne Lorraine is the title of the exhibition to open at the Monash University Gippsland Campus Switchback Gallery on Monday, October 21. The exhibition is a collection of ink illustrations mounted in pine boxes covering a range of subjects collected from past and personal archives.

A Distance Education Chinese Delegation will be visiting the Gippsland Campus on Wednesday, October 23. The delegation will receive an overview on how Monash delivers Distance Education courses, tuition methods, academic assistance, study load, support services, costs as well as discussion on current and future collaborative opportunities.

A cohort of students from the 9th Commonwealth Study Conference will be visiting the Gippsland Campus on Monday, October 20. The group will be given an overview of the role of education in the region including innovations such as Distance Education and the Gippsland Education Precinct. The Study Conference has brought together 200 delegates from across the Commonwealth and is designed to expose them to a range of industrial, political, sociological and environmental issues which link back to the them of the conference ‘People First in the Global Community’.

• Making the Grade

The Australian Sustainable Industry Research Centre (ASIRC) located at the Gippsland Campus of Monash University celebrates its first birthday this week. ASIRC was formed to assist industry to better manage its resources and waste streams for their sustainability by foundation partners Monash University, Gippsland Water and the Cooperative Research Centre for Waste Management and Pollution Control.

Professor Carol Adams, Head, Faculty of Business & Economics at the Gippsland Campus will present "Ethics in Investment" at the Gippsland Australian Institute of Management/Australian Shareholders Association Gippsland meeting on Wednesday, October 22 in the School of Business and Economics Conference room at 7.30pm.
