Lost Super:

Have you changed your job or address and forgotten to tell your super fund? You may have some lost super that has been transferred, without your knowledge, into an Eligible Rollover Fund (ERF). These funds do not pay a very good return and some have high fees.

When a super fund account hasn’t had contributions going into it for two years, or mail to the member has been returned undelivered, the member could be considered ‘lost’, or the account inactive. The Fund should report the member’s details to the Australian Taxation Office, which adds these details to its Lost Member’s Register. The Fund may also transfer the member’s money an ERF. Any money that has not been claimed by the time the member turns 65, is transferred to the revenue office in the state where fund’s head office is located.

To locate this lost super contact the Australian Tax Office or use the Tax Office’s SuperSeeker on its website at www.ato.gov.au

Easter:

The Easter holiday period is nearly upon us, it is the second most important holiday period on the Australian calendar. Many people plan to take a short holiday, stay with relatives or visit friends.

During this period there will be a dramatic increase in traffic throughout the State, with the risk of an increase in the road toll. You can reduce the chance of being a statistic, and enjoy a relaxing break by observing a few simple rules.

· Don’t speed, Don’t be impatient, comply with all speed limits.

· Don’t drink and drive.

· Never drive when fatigued. It is safer to leave for a long journey early on Good Friday morning after a good nights sleep, than late Thursday evening after a hard days work.

Be ever alert to the traffic around you. DRIVE TO ARRIVE!

The Neighbourhood Watch Concert will be held on
Wednesday 25th of July 2007

Bullying is a form of assault and causes many children a great deal of emotional trauma. Parents should encourage children to inform them, or a trusted teacher if they become victims of bullying. Report bullying before someone gets hurt.
