Bath signs up for Nappy Collection
Bath supports Nappy Collection
The Nationals Member for Eastern Victoria Region, Melina Bath MP has thrown her support behind ‘The Nappy Collective’ project by signing her office up as a local collection point.
The project collects leftover unused disposable nappies and redistributes them to organisations that support families in crisis or in need.
There are 400 official drop points in 64 towns and cities across Australia, with over 2,000,000 nappies donated since the project commenced in 2013.
"This initiative runs twice a year in May and October and I am very excited to have signed up my office located at 2/181 Franklin Street, Traralgon as a collection point for the May nappy collection", Ms Bath said.
"You don’t have to have a supply of unused nappies on hand to make a contribution – monetary donations are welcome and some people have previously purchased new nappies to support this worthy cause.
"I am proud to support this worthwhile community charity and encourage everyone in our local area to consider getting involved", Ms Bath said.
Unused nappy donations are being accepted from now until Friday, 18 May 2018.
