GippsTAFE’s Music Academy students to perform at ceremony

By Eimear McNelis - 10th June 2002 - Back to News

GippsTAFE’s Music Academy students will perform at the Latrobe City and Carer Respite Centre Gippsland’s, "Give Peace a Chance" Celebration 2002.

The celebration is for all recipients and volunteers of Latrobe City Social Support Programs, which will be held at Kernot Hall in Morwell.

The event will be held on Wednesday 19 June and kicks off at 11.45am with a delicious 3 course luncheon followed by the concert.

The theme for this year’s event is a return to the 1960’s, with GippsTAFE’s Music Academy students performing a range of songs relating to peace and the 1960’s period.

GippsTAFE’s Music Academy operates from a purpose built training facility at GippsTAFE’s Morwell Campus, which includes a recording studio, keyboard laboratory and Internet access.

All music courses incorporate real "gigs" performed throughout the Gippsland region. For more information on any music courses please contact GippsTAFE’s Music Academy on 5120 4500.
