Learn To Prune Your Roses

The Friends of the Sale Botanic Gardens will run a rose pruning workshop at the gardens this Thursday (12 July)

Wellington Shire Council horticulturists will provide a practical demonstration of correct rose pruning techniques.

"We would invite anyone who would like to know more about pruning their roses to attend" said Martin Norris, Open Space Planner for the Wellington Shire Council

"There will be an opportunity for participants to put what they have learned into action at the gardens on the day."

"Roses are very popular in gardens across the shire. They will produce higher quality blooms if they will are pruned correctly," said Mr Norris.

The demonstration and practical workshop will take place between 10am- 12pm at the Sale Botanic Gardens Rose Garden.

Participants should bring secateurs and gloves.

Tea and coffee will be provided.
