Wallflowering foxtrots to Wellington

Two top Australian stars of stage will grace Wellington Shire Council’s Esso BHP Billiton Wellington Entertainment Centre with the smash-hit ballroom dancing comedy Wallflowering, on 31 March.

By Wellington Shire Council - 2nd March 2005 - Back to News

The fast-paced tale of courage and beauty stars Noeline Brown - famous for her work on Blankety Blanks and Kingswood Country, and Doug Scroope from Sons and Daughters and Prisoner, and are to visit Wellington as part of a national tour.

The play sees one-time champion ballroom dancers Peg and Cliff finding themselves out of step with each other and the changing values of the world around them. In a delightfully hilarious and metaphorical play about the nature of marriage, the pair explore the pursuit of happiness and the perfect foxtrot.

This must-see performance will commence at 8.00pm on 31 March. Tickets are $39 for adults and $34 for concessions. For bookings and more information please call the entertainment centre’s box office on 5143 3200.
