Latest News• Add My News • Search Old News Gippsland › Latest news › Latrobe Local NewsGallery displays ‘Threads of friendship’An exhibition demonstrating numerous embroidery techniques will be on display in the International Power Hazelwood Community Access Gallery, Latrobe Regional Gallery from Saturday 17 June. All of the items included in ‘Threads of friendship’ have been handcrafted by members of the Latrobe Branch of the Embroiderers Guild of Victoria providing an insight into a diverse range of stichery and are testament to the creative abililities of members. Members of the branch will be in attendance for the duration of the exhibition demonstrating some of the techniques featured which include; hardanger, blackwork, stumpwork, patchwork, pulled and drawn thread, ribbon embroidery, and beading. The Latrobe branch began as a guidance group in 1996 and became a branch in 2001.
