An alternative to Napster?

With the slaying of the Napster dragon, new demons raise their heads

Real Networks has sparked new interest with the launch of MusicNet, raising questions about its ability to become a worthwhile alternative to Napster.

Napster, the fun, simple, free, downloadable program has been attacked by record companies for the unlawful mega-distribution of copyright material through the web.

Real Networks, in comparison, has attracted agreements from Warner Music, BMG and EMI to license their portfolio of artists on a non-exclusive basis to the online music service.
