SMART Motorcycle Courses

Courses to enhance and further develop safe riding techniques for motorcyclists

SMART (Safe Motorcycle and Road Transport) Training is conducting Motorcycle Learners Permit and Licence training in Leongatha and Bairnsdale throughout the next couple of months.

 

The aim of the SMART Training Centre is to enhance and further develop safe riding techniques, with an emphasis on the importance of rider attitude, and is authorised by VicRoads to test on its behalf.

 

SMART Training’s Learner Permit Course is a full day program, which concludes with course participants being tested for the Motorcycle Learners Permit.

 

Topics covered in the course include speed control, balance, braking, review and testing, slow riding and cornering.

 

SMART Training’s Motorcycle Licence Course is also a full day program, with the course participants being tested for the Motorcycle Licence.

 

Topics covered in the course include speed control, balance, counter-steering, braking – straight line / curve, review and testing, and inspection of the bike.

 

SMART Training, based in Gippsland, offers a wide range of courses to suit everyone from pre-learner and learner riders of motorcycles, trucks, 4-wheel drives and buses to experienced drivers who want to benefit from refresher and advanced courses. 

 

Experienced staff can consult with the community and industry, to design specialist courses on all aspects of road safety.
