Over 200 To Attend Mayoral Ball

Tickets to the sixth Annual Mayoral Charity Ball on 2 October 2009 have sold out.

By Bass Coast Shire Council - 22nd September 2009 - Back to News

Bass Coast Mayor, Cr John Duscher, said the response to the charity event had been overwhelming.

"Not only have tickets to this year’s Ball completely sold out, but we have also had a record number of sponsors involved with the event," said Cr Duscher.

"Early next month, the Town Hall will be transformed into a glittering cabaret club with entertainment from the Wonthaggi Theatre Group and Company Xposed.

"There are Council staff members who are volunteering their time to help out on the night and catering will be provided by the Inlet Hotel, Inverloch," continued Cr Duscher.

For the first time, the Bass Coast Community Foundation has announced a charity grant of $5,000 from the proceeds of the Ball.

"The Community Harvest Project is a really worthy winner of the grant," said Cr Duscher.

"I am excited about what this project can do for our community and for our environment.

"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our generous sponsors, local businesses and the community for their support of the Ball," said Cr Duscher.

Sponsors of the Mayoral Ball include

Gold Sponsors: Bass Coast Community Health Service, Flower Farm, Inlet Hotel, McArthur Management Services, Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, Tabro Meats and Thiess Degremont

Silver Sponsors: AFI Branding Solutions, Coldon Homes, Retravision Wonthaggi and Wonthaggi Fabrics and Beads
