Latrobe City Council’s acting coordinator performing arts and venues, Eloisa Tripodi, said that students enjoyed having their artworks displayed.

"Producing works of art in the classroom is one thing but seeing them displayed at a public exhibition is quite another. The students and teachers are always very proud when they see the work they have created hanging on the walls for all to see. Our patrons often remark that they enjoy browsing the exhibitions on display before they go into the theatre.

"This particular exhibition displays a variety of artistic medium including collage, animation, pencil drawing and painting. The students from years seven, eight and nine have created a bright and colourful display and should be pleased with their artistic expressions," Ms Tripodi said.

The exhibition will continue until 1 October.

Primary and secondary schools interested in this unique opportunity of displaying student works in the Latrobe Performing Arts Education Exhibition program are asked to contact Eloisa Tripodi on 5176 3339 or eloistatr@latrobe.vic.gov.au
