Young Entrepreneurs From The Morwell Electorate Get Down To Business

Budding Young Entrepreneurs From The Morwell Electorate Are Invited To Learn The Ropes Of Starting Their Own Business, With Applications Now Open For The Coalition Government¡¦S Getting Down To Business Program.

Member for Morwell, Russell Northe said the program supports and grows enterprises created by young people in the Morwell electorate through short courses, workshops and mentoring programs run by experienced business people.

¡§We know that local young people have great creative ideas and this program provides them with a unique opportunity to turn their ideas into reality,¡¨ Mr Northe said.

¡§The Coalition Government is committed to supporting young people in the Morwell electorate to build the knowledge and skills they need to start their own business.

¡§This program taps into the unlimited potential of young people and can help drive the state¡¦s economic sustainability and growth.¡¨

The 2015 Getting Down to Business program will support 40 young people aged 16 to 25 through:

„h enterprise presentation days with advice from entrepreneurs and industry experts;

„h short courses in enterprise development;

„h coaching and mentoring provided by enterprise and industry experts; and

„h peer to peer learning via facilitated roundtables and webinars.

Applications close 12 December 2014.The 2015 program will run from March to November.
