Have your say on Latrobe Valley and Gippsland Transition Plan to 2035
The Latrobe Valley Authority's draft Latrobe Valley and Gippsland Transition Plan has recently been released for comment.
The Latrobe Valley Authority's draft Latrobe Valley and Gippsland Transition Plan is being developed in partnership with business, industry and community across Gippsland. Its purpose is to provide a bold and optimistic guide for the region as it transitions towards a net zero economy. The Committee for Gippsland is strongly encouraging all Gippslanders to provide feedback to ensure Gippsland's community and industry knowledge and expertise is incorporated into the plan.
Committee for Gippsland would want to hear from as many people as possible to help identify and support local aspirations for our region's future
Vision for the community
So far, the draft plan sets out a shared vision for the community in 2035 that:
- Identifies roles and opportunities for action across government, industry and the community and is accompanied by an action plan to track progress
- Describes how Gippsland can create quality, long-term jobs, retrain and re-skill workers in transitioning industries and improve the health and wellbeing of the community
Have your say
Feedback on the draft plan will be open until early March to make sure people have an opportunity to share their thoughts and reflections. You can provide feedback in a number of ways:
- Email your feedback to contact@lva.vic.gov.au
- Call 1800 136 762 and speak to a member of the team
- Request a face-to-face meeting with an LVA representative
