Annual Christmas Card Competition Winners Announced
2020 winners of his annual Christmas Card design competition
Member for Morwell Russell Northe was pleased today to announce the 2020 winners of his annual Christmas Card design competition.
Mr Northe offers the opportunity for all primary schools to participate in the Christmas Card design competition and hundreds and hundreds of designs were submitted this year.
"It is amazing to see not only the number of designs entered, but the quality of those same designs were just outstanding and I thank all schools and students for their participation" Mr Northe commenced.
"To see the smile on the children’s faces when they see their drawing and their name on the front of our Christmas Cards is just a joy" Mr Northe continued.
Mr Northe also thanked the Traralgon & District Arts Society for their assistance and wading through hundreds of card designs.
"We thank Nola for the incredible assistance in trying to select our winning designs, which is no mean feat" Mr Northe said.
"Eventually six designs were selected, and those same designs will be displayed not only on the Christmas Cards I distribute, but the students are provided with their own cards that they can share amongst family and friends" Mr Northe said.
The six students whose Christmas Card designs were successful in the 2020 competition were:
- Claire - aged 12 – Boolarra Primary School
- Oanh - aged 12 – Morwell Central Primary School
- George - aged 11 – Morwell Central Primary School
- Anna – aged 8 St Gabriel’s Catholic Primary School
- Sophie – aged 9 – St Vincent De Paul Primary School
- Sophie – aged 12 – Latrobe Special Development School
