An Important Message from the Board
Important announcement from the Board.
The Board of Food & Fibre Gippsland wish to advise that Paul Griffin has resigned from the position of Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Mr Griffin has acknowledged the collaborative and supportive culture of the organisation, and said his resignation was for personal reasons.
On behalf of the Board, Chairperson Joanne Butterworth-Gray thanked Mr Griffin for his contribution to Food & Fibre Gippsland over the last three months, which has included introducing a number of new members to the industry peak body, in particular from the fibre sector.
The Board would like to take this opportunity to wish Paul well in his future endeavours.
The Board has appointed Dr Nicola Watts to the role of Acting CEO.
Dr Watts led the former East Gippsland Food Cluster (EGFC) since its inception in 2011 and was the Interim CEO throughout the amalgamation of the EGFC and Agribusiness Gippsland to form Food & Fibre Gippsland in February this year.
The F&FG board is scheduled to meet on the 29^th of October and will make further announcements after this meeting.
Food & Fibre Gippsland continues to be a collaborative force, creating opportunities for a prosperous and sustainable Gippsland food & fibre sector.
Our Operations team is leading some fantastic initiatives and projects throughout the region that are delivering both short and long term benefits, and there are more in the pipeline for 2020 and beyond.
Food & Fibre Gippsland is leading and supporting capacity building, innovation and knowledge sharing, for the benefit of members, the sector and the broader Gippsland community.
