Daniel Andrews fails to answer questions about Hazelwood Member for Morwell Russell Northe has criticised Premier Daniel Andrews for failing to answer Parliamentary questions relating to the closure of Hazelwood Power Station within the required timeframe. By Portal Admin - 24th March 2017 - Back to News Mr Northe had submitted a series of questions on 7 February 2017, on behalf of Hazelwood workers, contractors and community members to which the Premier had 30 days to respond.
Mr Northe said Daniel Andrews had refused to provide an explanation as to why he hasn't answered the questions within the required timeframe.
"It’s staggering that in just seven days’ time hundreds of jobs will be lost following the closure of Hazelwood Power Station, yet Daniel Andrews can’t even bother to answer important questions as asked on behalf of our community," Mr Northe said.
"Our community wants and deserves real answers and real action across a whole range of areas, yet the Andrews Government appears to be completely ignoring the needs and pleas of local workers.
"The Government needs to stop leaving the people of Latrobe Valley in the dark and provide a response."
