Comedy smash-hit Defending the Caveman to entertain Wellington

It will be a laugh-a-minute revelation of the sexes when international smash-hit comedy Defending the Caveman hits Wellington Shire Council’s Esso BHP Billiton Wellington Entertainment Centre on 21 August.

By Wellington Shire Council - 10th August 2004 - Back to News

Starring popular Australian comedian, Mark Mitchell - best known for his character Con the Fruiterer on network Ten’s hit comedy series The Comedy Company- the show searches for the answer to the universal question – why do men and women misunderstand each other?

Mitchell’s character argues for the males’ defence, investigating the age old theory that men are hunters and women are gatherers in a series of amusing pantomimes and skits throughout the 90 minute show.

Defending the Caveman is the longest running one-man show in Broadway history and enjoyed sell-out success at the 2003 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

The show will be held on Saturday 21 August at 8.00pm. Tickets are $36 for adults, $32 for concessions. For bookings and more information please call the entertainment centre’s box office on 5143 3200.
