Short film festival comes to Latrobe Performing Arts CentreBy Latrobe City Council - 12th July 2005 - Back to News An exciting collection of twelve short films will be shown at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday 19 July from 1pm. The festival, called ‘In the realm of the senses’ provides new and emerging short film makers with the opportunity to share their infectious storytelling spirit and showcase their creative diversity.
Latrobe City’s Performing Arts and Venues Co-ordinator, Kathleen Roberts, said that the festival was now in its fourth year and was growing in popularity.
"This year, the collection of films inlcudes ‘Ward 13’ by Peter Cornwell which was the winner of Best Film for The 4th annual In the Realm of the Senses Outdoor Short Film Festival. Other offerings include ‘Australian Summer’ by Luke Eve which was the winner of Tropfest 2005; ‘The New Boots’ by Tristan Bancks and ‘Frankenchicken’ by Ann-Marie Denham," Ms Roberts explained.
"Many genres are covered including comedy, drama, documentary and the downright bizarre but it is guaranteed that all the short films will engage, inspire and entertain," Ms Roberts concluded.
