, reluctant men and the healing power of chocolate that will be performed at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre from 8pm on Thursday 3 March.

Latrobe City’s coordinator performing arts and venues, Kathleen Roberts, said that HIT Productions, one of Australia’s Premier Theatre Touring Company, was bringing the popular show to the Valley.

"The storyline is based around Nic, a thirty-something suddenly panicking that her time to have a baby is rapidly expiring. Against her best friend Deb’s advice, she advertises for a new male flatmate with the ulterior motive of finding somebody to father her child.

"Furiously Fertile explores a very modern problem in an uproariously funny way, along the way finding unexpected answers in Nic’s search for happiness. As their relationship unfolds and some very raw emotions are exposed, the audience is taken on a heart-warming and entertaining journey that results in a rewarding night of theatre from start to finish," Ms Roberts explained.

Following the hilarious script reading featuring Julia Zemiro (Rockwiz) at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, this World Premier tour will be directed by Sioban Tuke (Secret Bridesmaid’s Business) and will feature an exciting award-winning cast including Daniela Farinacci (Lantana), Trudy Hellier (Frontline) and David Tredinnick (The Secret Life of Us).

Furiously Fertile will be performed at 8pm on Thursday 3 March at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre.

The Latrobe Performing Arts Bar will be open from 7pm for refreshments. Discounted tickets will be available for Latrobe Performing Arts members. To reserve a ticket, contact the box office on 5176 3559.
