Year 12 students will be receiving their ENTER scores on Monday, December 11 and to assist students with decisions on tertiary preferences, the Gippsland Campus will be holding a Change of Preference Information session on December 12 from 3-6pm in the Business & Economics Conference Room. This is an opportunity for students to speak to Faculty staff about course options as well as scholarships, accommodation and pathways into Monash.

A Nursing and Midwifery Seminar will be held in Sibu, East Malaysia on December 5 to provide nurses working in Malaysian Borneo an opportunity to participate in professional development and networking activities in a variety of specialist areas. The program includes workshop sessions developed by Monash Gippsland academic staff in response to local needs. More than 250 delegates are expected to attend, including the Chief Nursing Officer of the Malaysian Nurses Board.

Making the Grade

‘In Transit’ is a program for students to experience University life and sixty-two students from Sale and East Gippsland will be participating in this program from December 4-5. The program will include living on campus, Faculty information sessions, study skills, workshops and tertiary applications. Seven current students will be acting as mentors over the two days.

One hundred Year 11 students from Gippsland Grammar will be visiting the Gippsland Campus on December 5 on the way to their ‘City Uni tour’.

Year 10 Kurnai students will be on campus participating in the Schools Access Monash program on December 7. Students will be undertaking Faculty interactive activities and will also receive information from GGT and GippsTAFE representatives.

Ian Nethercote, CEO, Loy Yang Power will take up the position of Chair, Gippsland Advisory Council on the retirement of John Hutchinson this month. John Hutchinson, former General Manager, Energy Brix and SECV and Dennis Shore, former General Manager AMCOR have retired from the Advisory Council after a total of 23 years service to the Gippsland Campus.
