Rediscover the laughs of yesteryear at Performing Arts CentreJoin Hilary Henshaw and special guest Will Conyers on this rib-tickling tour de force as they remember best-loved comedy pieces of yesteryear.
By Portal Admin - 14th October 2016 - Back to News Latrobe City Council’s coordinator performing arts and venues, Kathleen Roberts, said that the show brought to life rediscovered gems, more recent funnies and sensational signature songs.
"Your memories will be triggered by pieces from Gracie Fields, Beatrice Lillie, Joyce Grenfell, Fanny Brice, Sophie Tucker, Blossom Dearie, Noel Coward and Stephen Sondheim. It’s a wonderful walk down the memory lane of those gentle days gone by," Ms Roberts said.
Hilary Henshaw’s almost life-time upon the stage includes performing with many major theatrical companies in opera, operetta and musical theatre. Will Conyers is a music theatre stalwart.
"So just direct your feet to the funny side of the street for your quota of humour, nostalgia, unexpected surprises and, for some 'uncomic relief'… some ridiculously rapturous tunes!" Ms Roberts concluded
On a Humorous Note will be performed at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday 26 October from 11am. Book your tickets at the Box Office on 5176 3333 or online at www.latrobe.vic.gov.au/lpawhatson
