Moe Golf Club
Moe Golf Club

Fully licenced club and group bookings welcome.

With towering native gums lining snaking fairways and measuring 6025 meters, Moe golf course is one of Latrobe Valley's finest golfing challenges. Over the last few years considerable redevelopment to the course has been undertaken to ensure it retains its high standard. Set on slightly undulating terrain, the course has several holes taking in views of Lake Narracan and the surrounding mountains, another feature is it's good-sized greens and generous fairways. The most recent course project was the construction of a new dam to increase the watering capacity, the dam comes into play on three holes, this includes the 182-metre par-three 4th hole which has become the club's signature hole.

Off course, the clubhouse has the capacity to hold over 200 people and is fully licensed. Located 131km south-east of Melbourne via the Princes Highway and 70-metres above sea level, Moe is nestled into the heart of the power industry region of Latrobe Valley. The area was originally known as 'The Moe' or the 'Mowie' swamp. Indeed the town's name derives from an Aboriginal word which supposedly relates to the marshy nature of the territory. The old swampland to the west of the town initially meant that the beef cattle raised in the district had to be shipped to Melbourne via Port Albert.

Former European Tour Professional, Darren Cole, grew up on the fairways at Moe and he has returned to his home region as a teaching professional. Established since 1934, the course has been relocated twice, it has been at it's current location since 1964. The course at Moe is set in two parts, the first nine is slightly undulating with a number of different holes that require plenty of accuracy on the approach shots, the back nine is longer and opens up with great views of the nearby Lake Narracan.
