A little history on the owners -
Rhonda and Norm moved to Walhalla in February 1995 from Yarram. In that time they have seen many changes in the town including the connection of mains electricity in December 1998. The population increased to 13 when they moved in. What brought them to Walhalla? They say "That if the Government spent in excess of 1.6 million on the new bridge across the Thomson River there had to be something happening for the town. Since 1995 there has been many changes including the restoration of the narrow gauge railway line from Thomson River to the township of Walhalla. There have been many buildings restored or rebuild. The Australian Alps Walking Track commences in Walhalla and finishes in Canberra some 680 kms. Currently the permanent population of Walhalla is 23.
