Yarram Country Club wins Community Clubs Victoria Night 2023 making a proud moment for South Gippsland
Attending Community Clubs Victoria awards, I celebrated winners, notably Yarram Country Club in Gippsland South. They won best community bistro, an impressive feat for a small-town club competing statewide.
Member for Gippsland South Danny O'Brien said, "It was great to attend the Community Clubs Victoria awards night on Saturday night and support our club's community. Congratulations to all the winners and particularly Yarram Country Club, from the great electorate of Gippsland South, which took home the award for the best community club bistro and restaurant.
Formed in 2001 via merger, Yarram Country Club comprises the previous Yarram Club, Bowling Club, and Tennis Club. Renovated Bowling Club site reopened in 2004
This is a fantastic achievement for a club in a small country town, up against others from all around the state. Yarram Country Club is indeed a focal point for the Yarram community, and I am sure that community will be very proud of the award.
