Have your say on renaming a section of Speight Street in Loch and Corner Inlet Motorcycle Club lease
South Gippsland Shire Council invites community feedback on two proposals: renaming part of Speight Street to Albert Road in Loch (closes 18 May) and leasing Yanakie land to a motorcycle club (closes 7 May).
Provide your feedback on the proposed renaming. South Gippsland Shire Council is considering renaming a section of Speight Street in Loch, to Albert Road following a community request. The current naming does not comply with Geographic Names Victoria's rules, causing potential confusion for road users and emergency services.
Council proposes using the four-way intersection as a logical divider between Speight Street and Albert Road, with consultation open 17 April-18 May 2025
The proposed change aims to create a clear and logical division at the four-way intersection To have your say, visit the Renaming of Section of Speight Street Loch page and tell us what you think about this proposed change. Feedback closes on 18 May 2025.
Motorcycle Club lease
