Gippsland Immigration Park in Morwell receives $20,000 funding boost through 'Stronger Communities Program' to enhance pathways and accessibility. Federal Member Darren Chester supports multi-cultural heritage celebration.
Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester (pictured) says one of the region's most important multi-cultural landmarks will benefit from a $20,000 funding boost. Gippsland Immigration Park at Morwell will use the funding from the 'Stronger Communities Program' to seal existing gravel pathways and improve accessibility for locals and visitors. "The volunteers have done an extraordinary job to tell the proud story of migrants to the Latrobe Valley and the impact they have had on our region."

Mr Chester added, "The Gippsland Immigration Wall of Recognition and the Gippsland Heritage Walk are due recognition of our region's rich multi-cultural heritage and they are highly regarded by locals and visitors. I'm pleased to be able to assist the volunteers and their fundraising efforts with this grant which will make a big difference on the ground."
