The 'Christmas Giving Trees' annual charity program helps ensure that Christmas is a special day for the whole Bass Coast community, so we ask residents and businesses to support us in collecting as many gifts as possible. Coordinated by the Combined Welfare Group - which includes Salvation Army, St Vincent de Paul and Bass Coast Health's Davey House -the scheme works directly with local families.

Making Christmas day special

Bass Coast Shire Council Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan, thanked all involved in gifting for their wonderful generosity so far, stating how proud council are to support such an impactful initiative. "Every gift contributed to the Christmas Giving Trees program makes a huge difference to children and families doing it tough."

"Christmas can be a very hard time for many families, for many reasons. But by thinking of others through these small acts of kindness, your Christmas Tree gift will bring welcome joy to another member of our community - embodying the spirit of the season." Cr Whelan said.
