Collaborating on opportunities

Gippsland Southern Health Service shared their 2021-2026 Strategic Plan, and the two organisations were able to discuss shared challenges, such as housing shortages, mental health service provision, and employment attraction. The group committed to meeting regularly and ensuring the organisations would continue to work collaboratively into the future.

South Gippsland Shire Council Mayor, Mohya Davies said, "South Gippsland Shire Council and Gippsland Southern Health Service have a great working relationship and it was great to catch up with their Chair and CEO on-site at the hospital. The meeting gave us a chance to discuss the future health and wellbeing of our community and to consider how we can work together for the benefit of our residents."

Gippsland Southern Health Service said, "Both our organisations are working to serve our community and it is important that we work together to promote our region and collaborate on opportunities such as workforce attraction, to strengthen services for our residents and visitors."
