Gippsland Portal Local News: Pavement GearRoadside finds to get your brain working By Emma Kae - 12th July 2001 - Back to News Tell us your opinion See what others have said
Have you ever searched the web for a site dedicated to the foreign objects that are found on roadside stretches? No, I didn’t think so. However, if you ever get curious, there is such a website, known as PavementGear.com
PavementGear.com is a gallery of pavement apparel treasures and roadside attire collected for your viewing pleasure.
Visit the museum of evidence – photographic collections of things found at the road edge. Each has an inviting caption such as "tire marks, the latest trend in evening wear" bound to instigate inquisitiveness and keep you clicking.
See the Strange Find section, filled with roadside finds that left even the site creators scratching their heads with thoughts of the unknown. There is the weird, bizarre and obscure, all caught on camera in a manner that makes you ask aloud "how'd that get there?"
Try the fashion catalog to see the once discarded garments brought back to life. Each piece of clothing is carefully selected and collectively assembled into an attractive ensemble. See Turbo Granny, all dressed up with no place to go.
This is definitely not a website for the feint hearted, but the humour is evident. Click here to visit the website.
