Starburst

Get your juices going...

It all started with “Pump up the Juice”.

Soon after, with the release of “Get your juices Going”, Starburst exploded out of nowhere with a sound bigger and better than any two-headed anaconda.

Still, nobody knew who they were. The band refused interviews, ran from photography studios and animated their video clips. The most famous people in the world were anonymous.

Suddenly, under suspicious circumstances, Starburst retreated as quickly as they had risen. Dates were cancelled, tours ignored and THEN… they split up.

Mike Myers, infamous Australian promoter, decided to re-create the phenomenon. “No way has the band split up," he says. "There's been line-up changes. We're auditioning new band members at this very moment. Starburst will live on, you mark my words."

The new Starburst was coming together. “I've seen hundreds of kids,” said Mr. Myers. “Some of them have been painfully bad, truly pathetic - some have even made me cry - but some have been alright, you know? We're getting there.”

Starburst was on its way. The winners have been announced. The lucky four are Bruce Williams, Megan Potter, Tonia Witherspoon and Billy Doyle.

And now, this week should see Starburst put the finishing touches on their new album. Myer's choice for the first single is, perhaps, a stroke of genius. "We've re-recorded 'Get Your Juices Going', and it's brilliant!” How original.
