2003 International Film Festival May 2/3/4

A diverse collection of (mostly) foreign-language films will be screened at the Bairnsdale Cinema Centre over the first weekend of May.

A diverse collection of (mostly) foreign-language films will be screened at the Bairnsdale Cinema Centre over the first weekend of May.


Following a complimentary champagne and Festival opening on Friday (May 2nd) evening at 6.30, one of last years most successful Australian films, THE TRACKER, will screen at 7pm, followed by DINNER RUSH from the U.S.A. at 9pm.

On Saturday, SWING, from France, screens at 1.15pm and SAMSARA, from Tibet, screens at 3pm. A confronting film from Mexico, Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN (rated "R" for 18 year old and over) will screen on Saturday night at 9pm.

The Festival concludes on Sunday afternoon with MOSTLY MARTHA, from Germany, at 1pm, and SATIN ROUGE, a French production shot in Tunsia, at 3pm.

Concessional passes are available for all seven films, or any four films. Single tickets may also be purchased for individual sessions.

Accommodation for visitors can be arranged at a number of local Motels and B&B's in Bairnsdale, or nearby in Metung or Paynesville.
