Chat to Teachers at Virtual Open Week!

GippsTAFE’s Virtual Open Week commences Monday 6 January, providing an exciting new way to explore study options for 2003.

The Virtual Open Week site includes up-to-date course information, virtual tours of facilities, the opportunity to ‘chat’ on-line to GippsTAFE staff, Student Services, information for parents page, and other useful links including the Gippsland Portal and GippsRealestate.

"The site is much more interactive than the course guide because you can actually ask teachers questions about courses," said Learning, Information and Support Coordinator, Helen Reeves.

On Monday 6 January you can chat to Business Studies Teacher Tony McGrath and Fashion’s Kath Medew from 10am – 1pm and Gary Dunbier from the Arts Department 9am-12pm.

Sally Baker from Childcare is available to chat on Tuesday 7 Jan 10am – 1pm along with Construction and Safety’s Kevin Newey 9.30am - 12.30pm.

Paddy O’Dowd from GippsTAFE’s Music Academy is available to chat about its music courses from 1pm-4pm on Wednesday 8 January.

On Thursday 9 January, Eamon O’Hare from Health and Community Studies will be on-line from 9am – 12pm.

"The site has many unique features, with a virtual showbag that users can use to collect information that they are interested in, and information for parents site," said Ms Reeves.

"It’s a great new experience for teachers to chat on-line!"
