"The GVTU approached us and asked us if there was anything that their students could help us with, and there was a multitude of things!" said Marg Robertson, Principal of Elizabeth St Primary School. "The GVTU Horticulture class have been clearing garden beds, cutting trees, moving mulch into garden beds and planting all around the school grounds." Ms Robertson said that there were also other GVTU students that visited the school, some being classroom assistants, and that the horticulture group would be continuing their work into next year using the school’s grounds redevelopment plans. "It is great for the kids as they get to interact with more people," said Ms Robertson. "The GVTU have been fantastic, they really have made a difference." The Gippsland Vocational Training Unit is a community based agency in Gippsland.
