Kids In For The Long Walk!Commercial Rd Primary to walk around Australia By Tracey Matthies - 3rd September 2002 - Back to News A lunchtime activity has turned into a quest to walk around Australia for some enthusiastic Morwell school children.
With each lap of the school oval counted as one kilometre, vice-principal Debbie Edwards, and kids "left" Melbourne two weeks ago and are almost into Adelaide already!
About 50 children have registered to "Walk Around Australia" and are keenly following their progress on a map. Adding to the excitement, and educational value, of the journey, are a series of postcards the children are receiving from areas they are walking through.
