Adult Learners Week at GippsTAFE

GippsTAFE’s Yallourn Campus invites the general public to participate in a range of activities

The Community Access Centre at GippsTAFE’s Yallourn Campus invites the general public to participate in a range of activities that will be held for Adult Learners Week (September 2-8).

The Community Access Centre will kick start the activities with a sausage sizzle at lunchtime on Thursday 5th September.

The computer room at the Community Access Centre will be open during the afternoon for the general public, where they can use the computers and even learn some basic skills.

There will also be a basketball game that both students and the public can participate in.

To top the day off there will be a performance held at the Yallourn Campus Auditorium by the Community Access Centre drama class students, which will commence at 1.30pm.

GippsTAFE’s Community Access Centre can give you the chance to re-enter or continue education in a non-threatening way, by first studying at a Neighbourhood House or Community Centre, and then moving into classes at GippsTAFE’s Morwell or Yallourn Campuses.

Courses offered through the Community Access Centre include Certificates in General Education for Adults, Adult Literacy and Basic Education, Study Support and Returning to Study, Tutor Training Programs, English as a Second Language and VCE for Adults.
