Skating in Wonthaggi

Do you want to have your say about the Wonthaggi Skate Park?

By Bass Coast Shire Council - 30th November 2001 - Back to News

Do you want to have your say about the Wonthaggi Skate Park? Over the next twelve weeks a master plan for the Park will be developed, and Council wants as many people as possible to get involved. A design workshop and public meeting will be held on December 4, and people can also send their written comments or suggestions to Council.

Tony Hallam, professional skater, will attend the design workshop on Tuesday 4 December at 6pm at the Wonthaggi Recreation Reserve, Korumburra Road.

"The design workshop will be a chance for people to talk about issues such as what equipment should be included in the park," said Jenny Churchill, Council’s Arts and Leisure Coordinator.

The public meeting to discuss the project will also be held on Tuesday 4 December, but at 7.30pm at the Wonthaggi Town Hall, Baillieu Street.

People who are unable to attend are invited to send comments or suggestions to "Wonthaggi Skate Park", @leisure, Rear 534 Mt. Alexander Road, Ascot Vale 3032.

For more information about the project, phone Jenny Churchill at Council on (03) 5671 2211 or (03) 5951 3311 or by mail at PO Box 543, Wonthaggi 3995.
