Previously on the Gippsland Portal, we selected 10 of Gippsland’s most popular websites as nominees for the Visitors Choice - Best Website award. Now that the websites have been have been reviewed and rated, we want you to select the winner by voting for the website that you feel is the best. Features to consider when voting include appearance, informativeness and usability – the successful combination of which makes a great website.

Listed below are the top 10 Gippsland websites, with descriptions as voted by us. The winner of the Visitor's Choice will be decided by your vote. Select your favourite from those below:

Gippsland Water is a company dedicated to provide high quality water, wastewater and waste recovery services that secure social, environmental and economic benefits for Central Gippsland. Their website provides a huge range of information on Gippsland Water, including conservation, wastewater and emergency services. You can even pay your water bill quickly and easily online. Lakes and Wilderness is a website was built to promote the Gippsland region to the world. It features information on all of the tourist attractions in the East Gippsland region. The website looks great, is easy to navigate, and supplies the visitor with just about all of the tourism information they could ask for. See the website at http://www.lakesandwilderness.com.au/

Growfish is the online project of the Gippsland Aquaculture Industry Network Inc (GAIN). GAIN aims to advance and promote the development of aquaculture in Gippsland. The website is an informative resource for people within the industry and people with an interest in aquaculture. While the website is still in various stages of re-development, active pages include aquaculture news from around the globe; species detailing; training, research and investment information. The Latrobe City website offers information about the Shire Council and Latrobe region. This is an attractive website that manages to encompass a huge amount of information and yet remain very user-friendly. The website is divided into six major sections, Business, Visitors, Residents, Youth, Council and Enquiries for easy navigation. The Phillip Island and Gippsland Discovery website takes a glimpse into the beautiful Phillip Island region. The website is tourism focused, and features Gippsland eye-candy worthy of encouraging a visitor to dive right in to the screen. The page is simple to explore, and the links in the header (consistent throughout the pages) make it easy to go from one place to the next. Yarragon Village is one of Gippsland’s tourist centres. Set alongside the Princes Highway a comfortable distance from Melbourne, the main street offers a slice of the country and a taste of what Gippsland has to offer. The Yarragon Village website serves to provide information on what the town has to offer its visitors. There a page for each of the eateries, specialty shops, galleries, and places of accommodation. The Ninety Mile Beach is one of Gippsland’s greatest tourist destinations.
