HINTS FOR THE CARE OF INKJET CARTRIDGES.

It should be noted that operating the printer when the cartridge is empty will most likely damage the cartridge beyond recovery.

When the cartridge shows the first signs of being low on ink the following procedure can prolong cartridge life.

COMMON BLACK CARTRIDGES.

i.e. Cartridge Numbers HP52626A, HPC6614A, HPC6615A, BC-01, BC-02, BC-03, BC-20, BC-23, Lexmark, IBM, Samsung etc.

Place in a zip lock bag and seal the top.

COMMON COLOUR CARTRIDGES.

i.e. Cartridge Numbers HP51625A, HP51649A, BC-05, 22 Lexmark etc.

Place into clean cartridge holder straight from the printer.

SPECIAL BLACKS/COLOUR CARTRIDGES.

i.e. Cartridge Numbers BC-60, BCI-61, BC-62

Replace clips EXACTLY as removed from the new cartridge. (Best to take note of EXACT location and position of the clip on the new cartridge.) Place in Zip lock bag and seal top.

SPECIAL COLOURS.

i.e. HP51641A, C18323D, C6578D

Try to ensure that the cartridge print head does not touch any surface (Ink residue will mix and contaminate the cartridge), Place in airtight plastic bag. Return your cartridge for cleaning, testing and refill as soon as possible to make sure they don’t dry out.
