Jacquie Smith from TTV (Tourism Training Victoria) discussed the Victoria Certificate of Applied Learning and Part Time Apprenticeships.

Margaret Mackenzie and Kate Rule from the VCAA (Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority) talked about indicative grades, changes to scored assessments and Part Time Apprenticeships and Ben Fennessy from TAFE Frontiers talked about new products that are available.

Participants came from Bendigo TAFE, East Gippsland TAFE, Goulburn Ovens TAFE, University of Ballarat, Holmesglen TAFE, Gordon TAFE and staff from GippsTAFE’s Leongatha, Morwell and Warragul campuses.

The aim of the conference was to provide an opportunity for all teachers of the VET in Schools hospitality program to get together and exchange ideas, discuss problems associated with the delivery of courses and to stay informed of changes within the hospitality program.
