By Bill Jackson - 27th November 2001 - Back to News At a meeting in Maffra on 26th November, Gippsland tourism related business operators developed strategies to capitalise on the opportunity that the new Backpacker Hostel in Maffra will provide. Key outcomes of the meeting were;
1). operators to network and form strategic alliances.
2). all inclusive packages to be developed.
3). a wide variety of options need to be on offered.
4). operators invited to register service details with Alpine Networks Development project.
Ron and Marg Rowlins, managers of the new Backpacker Hostel in Maffra invite Gippsland tourism product providers to register by completing the online form, with the view to developing packages suitable for the backpacker market.
