In the past year, Paynesville Neighbourhood Centre has served more than 1,300 customers through its Food Bank service and more than 1,000 free meals through its Community Lunch Program. Lunch is a great way to reduce loneliness in the community and bring people together in a safe and friendly environment to share a home-cooked meal. Sadly, the increased cost of living is forcing more people to rely on community services like this, which places an extra burden on volunteers.
