Applications open for Youth Grants Program from Bass Coast Shire Council
Applications for Bass Coast Shire Council's Youth Grants Program are now open.
This exciting new Program will provide funding to support not-for-profit organisations, small businesses and education providers based in Bass Coast to deliver projects that benefit young people. Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan said that each year, Council will provide $10,000 in funding through the Youth Grants Program, with eligible applicants able to seek 100 per cent of the total project cost, up to $3,000.
Council funds a number of organisations to run services and activities for young people across Bass Coast, find information about programs and activities for young people and help and support that is available
Ensuring funding projects
Cr Whelan said, "One of the eligibility requirements for this Program requires that young people are actively involved in the design, development and implementation of the project. This means that this funding will go towards projects that directly benefit Bass Coast youth."
The assessment panel will be made up of two members of Council's Youth Advisory Council, as well as Council Officers. "The Youth Advisory Council members will work to ensure the funding will go towards projects that will be of greatest benefit to young people in Bass Coast," Cr Whelan concluded.
