In 1996 the Living Library was proposed at the Buchan and District Community Advancement Forum as a high priority project for Buchan.

 

 

 

 

 


 

 Living Library

Registered on behalf of the Forum by Steve Baxter the project has evolved as an accurate history/heritage records project and also covers many other factors.

 

 



 

 

 

 

 

Buchan South Avenue of Honour.

 

The memorial to Buchan and district veterans of WW1. Re-dedicated to veterans of all Australia's conflicts on Remembrance Day 2007. Located in the former school grounds in Buchan South about 8km south of Buchan - follow the road signs. 

Ceremonies such as those held on Anzac Day and Remembrance Day are held at the Avenue.

Other suitable ceremonies may be held there at the discretion of the Committee of Management.
