The 'Well placed for Wellbeing 2021-25' guides the work of Council and partner organisations to improve the health and wellbeing of the East Gippsland community. Mayor Cr Mendy Urie is encouraging community members to take part in the consultation which is open until Thursday, September 30. Feedback from individuals and community groups will be used to inform the development of the next stages of the plan.

More than physical and mental health

Cr Urie said, "We are keen to hear what the most important health and wellbeing priorities are for our communities over the coming four years. Good health and wellbeing is important. It enables people to participate fully in community life and is essential for a strong economy."

"It is important to know that 'Well placed for Wellbeing 2021-25' covers much more than physical and mental health, for instance it also looks at people feeling safe, connected and included."

Early conversations with our community and health partners have identified five priority health outcomes for East Gippsland. "We have a series of short videos which give an overview of the five areas. We'd like people to let us know if they agree we should focus on those areas, or if we have missed something," Cr Urie said.
