Future Recycling to manage four of Baw Baw Shire's transfer stations from 1 July 2022
From 1 July 2022, Baw Baw Shire Council's four Transfer Stations will be managed by Future Recycling.
Future Recycling manages several sites including the Pakenham Waste Transfer Station and three metal recycling centres in Dandenong, Hallam and Shepparton. Throughout the changeover period no disruption to operations or drop off services is expected.
Future Recycling operates with an aim to extract as much recyclable material as possible from waste streams to minimise waste ending up in landfill
Future Recycling stations
The Transfer Stations under Future Recycling's management are:
Lardner Transfer Station - Simpson Road, Lardner

- Operating times: 10.00am - 4.00pm every day
Trafalgar Transfer Station - Giles Road, Trafalgar
- Phone: 0407 505 108
- Operating times: 10.00am - 4.00pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday
Neerim South Transfer Station - Neerim East Road, Neerim South
- Phone: 0438 281 444
- Operating times: 10.00 am - 4.00pm on Friday and Sunday
Erica Transfer Station - Mathiesons Road, Erica
- Phone: 0400 251 620
- Operating times: 12.00pm - 4.00pm on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday
Residents can deposit up to three cubic metres of rubbish at council's transfer stations with disposal fees varying depending on the type and quantity of rubbish to be disposed of.
Do-it-yourself tip delivery
Households that do not receive a kerbside garbage service are reminded that they are eligible for free Do-it-Yourself tip delivery of up to two cubic metres of hard waste at any council operated transfer station.

Proper waste disposal
Mayor Cr Michael Leaney said, "Council is pleased to enter a contract with Future Recycling to manage our Transfer Stations and assure residents will receive the same friendly, quality service."
"I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind residents of the importance of properly disposing of their waste, recyclables and green organics. I encourage residents to visit council's website or get in touch with us for assistance on what materials can be deposited". Cr Leaney said.
