Fun and Learning at Latrobe City’s Children’s Expo
Fun activities in the annual Latrobe City Children’s Expo on Thursday 25 October at Kernot Hall.
The annual Latrobe City Children’s Expo will take place from 2pm to 7pm on Thursday 25 October at Kernot Hall, offering fun activities and the opportunity to talk with early years’ service providers.
Latrobe City Council’s mayor, Councillor Darrell White, said that the Expo had developed a reputation as the most anticipated early years’ event on the local calendar.
"A twilight event again this year, there will be stallholders offering information about all manner of early childhood development, programs and support services. There will also be a wide range of fun activities, including star children’s entertainers, The Mik Maks, who will be appearing on stage throughout the event. There will also be face painting, a jumping castle, roving entertainment and much more.
"The Expo is an opportunity for the parents and caregivers to seek out information on a range of issues in a relaxed setting. The timing allows for working parents or those with children at primary school to be able to attend," Cr White said.
Cr White added that for first time parents, or even parents-to-be, who may be anxious to access information from service providers in this area, staff from Latrobe City Council and other industry representatives would be available throughout the event.
"Importantly, the Expo is free and caters to those looking for a fun family day out or for support or advice. We know that life is busy so being able to provide access to all these service providers, as well as entertaining the little ones, continues to be our key aim for this event," Cr White concluded.
