URGENT - Hyundai Excel Sprint Auto Dec 95 Low Kms

This car has been good to me and has given me lots of awesome memories. It will require some work to get back on the road - but would be well worth it for an economical run around. The split fold rear seat also makes it handy for transporting items which I couldn’t even fit in the boot of my Mitsubishi Magna.

The three-door Excel is comfortable and economical. It seems to be the Evolution edition model - although I’m not sure of the significance of that. The vehicle will be sold as is with no RWC or rego. Rego ran out in November. I did not renew the rego as the car broke down in September and hasn’t been mobile since. Plates will be removed prior to sale.

REASON FOR SALE
Apart from the fact that it is non mobile, I have recently upgraded to a newer and larger vehicle that I can go camping in.

ISSUES
The engine is not running thanks to an internal oil leak which lead to the big ends breaking down. I would assume a new engine is the only solution - a second hand one from a wrecker should cost around $650-$750. Otherwise mechanically the car has been driven sensibly and I’d expect it is in reasonable condition for its age.

The body and paintwork are not in great condition. There are two dints in the body from an early morning brush with a kangaroo. I’m not sure how easily they can be pulled out. The left hand light is consequently cracked, with a chip out of the plastic (the light still functions). The paintwork is peeling, especially on the spoiler where there is also a scratch from my garage door. There are also some small gouges in the window tint. There are your usual scratches and chips on the rest of the car. The interior I believe is in quite good conditional.

The only other problems I am aware of are minor - such as the window winders are funny sometimes, the passenger door lock is missing the rubber bit (still fully functional) etc. It did have a major service to replace the timing belt and fix the brakes around 5k-10k ago.
