Bridget Jones’ Diary has been receiving rave reviews all over town. It is a film based on the international best-selling novel by Helen Fielding. It stars Renee Zellweger as the outlandish but charismatic Bridget Jones, with Hugh Grant and Colin Firth as two love-sick men who fight for her attention.

The film opens as 30-plus-year-old Bridget decides the time has come to take control of her life. She starts by keeping a diary. The result is a new provocative, erotic and hysterical book on her bedside table – written by her own hand. Bridget has a lust for adventure, and an opinion on everything. Bridget Jones’ Diary is turning the page on a new life.

Sound interesting? To quote the promoter, it is a film “for anyone who’s ever been set-up, stood up or felt up” and its waiting for you. Mark the 25th of July on your calendar as the day you venture into the world of Bridget Jones. Be at the special preview at Mid Valley 8 (held by the phenomenal Gippsland Pacers) and be the first to see it! Call David Roberts on 0412 724 465 for ticket information.
