FuelWatch Tips

Home / FuelWatch / Tips

If you have Internet access at home or work, just log in to gippsland.com/fuelwatch and follow the instructions below.

It is good to update the FuelWatch page even if the prices haven't changed. That way, we still know what the current prices are at those fuel stations.

Updating fuel prices

It is easy to update fuel prices for any station listed on the FuelWatch page - just follow these steps:

  1. Become a Gippsland.com member if you haven't already
  2. Go to gippsland.com/fuelwatch
  3. Scroll down to the petrol station you are updating prices for
  4. Click on the date in the ‘Last updated’ column
  5. Wait for the FuelWatch form to load on your screen
  6. Add up-to-date prices into the allocated textboxes
  7. Click save

After the form has saved your prices, you go back to the FuelWatch page, at the town you just entered prices for.

Adding fuel prices

If the fuel station is not listed on the FuelWatch page, the steps are:

  1. Become a Gippsland.com member if you haven't already
  2. Go to gippsland.com/fuelwatch
  3. Click add new price (at the top of this page) or click http://gippsland.com/Admin/FuelWatch/Edit.asp
  4. Wait for the FuelWatch form to load on your screen
  5. Select the fuel station (tip: click the "Fuel Station" dropdown box, and press the first letter of the town to jump to that fuel station)
  6. Add up-to-date prices into the allocated textboxes
  7. Click save

Other ways to update prices

Current fuel prices can emailed through to support@gippsland.com or faxed through to (03) 5122 6111.

However, if you aren't a Gippsland.com member, you should do so to have a chance at winning a Gippsland fuel voucher.

How to remember fuel prices

The easiest way to remember fuel prices is to download and print out the Gippsland.com FuelWatch form (19 kb)

To record fuel prices on the form, just write in the service station name, and write in the prices under the appropriate day.

The prices can be written as they appear on the fuel station sign, and there is a column to write in the fuel types (I use the following abbreviations: U = Unleaded, G = Gas, D = Diesel, L = Leaded).

Keep a few of these forms in the car and write down prices whenever you drive to work or fill up the car.
