Cate Fitzsimon, Executive Officer
Cate Fitzsimon has been the overall coordinator and administrator of staff and activities of the Centre since 1998. Cate is involved in project management, consultancy, marketing, and academic liaison in e-commerce education and related projects.
Projects she has consulted on include:
- Electronic Certification Project Management Training Course, on behalf of AQIS, delivered to managers of South-East Asian Government Departments. Managed the development and delivery of the course and delivered the field-trip component of the course.
- Uniting our Rural Communities – designing and delivering 6 e-commerce introductory workshops in rural and remote communities throughout Gippsland.
- The NetWorking Dog Project – project manager, including the management of the development of the web-site, workshop program, and developing content for training and marketing materials.
- GRIAP Project – development of a business plan for an ISP peering system that would provide value added services to regional ISP’s.
- Gippsland Extranet Project - developing an extranet for Gippsland International, an engineering organisation.
Cate’s office is located in the GREEN Inc building in Churchill and forms the communication and information dissemination hub of what is effectively a virtual organisation, as staff are located in Monash campuses in Caulfield, Malaysia, Berwick and Gippsland. Cate holds an Arts degree in Politics & History, and a Grad. Dip in Planning & Design from Melbourne University.
